CCR Partners with Local Organizations to Help Individuals Learn New IT Skillsets

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – September 25, 2020 – CCR (Circle Computer Resources) has been awarded the Coronavirus Relief Fund Employer Innovation Fund grant to upskill their workforce and build their talent pipeline.

CCR is partnering with 4 organizations to serve Iowans whose employment has been lost due to the pandemic. The R2D2 program (which stands for Read, Reflect, Display, Do) will start with a 4-week help desk training course led by Delta V, followed by 8 weeks of network training and remote work training skills provided by Distributed Consulting and CCR. The program starts November 2, 2020 and ends January 29, 2021. Classes will not be longer than 8 hours per day and will not exceed 40 hours per week. All materials will be provided.

Each participant will learn customer service skills, troubleshooting technical issues, and other vital skills to working in the technology industry. A monthly stipend to assist with transportation, childcare, and other expenses during training will be provided. Upon certification, participants will be eligible for a full-time role at CCR.
